As promised, here are a few photos from Crazy Hair day held on Friday, May 26.
We had a great “crazy hair day” today. I remembered to take pictures, but I forgot to upload them. I will post them next week!
Here is what made us smile: 🙂
May 23– playing the Guess Who game in health (Jaida K.)
May 24– playing heads up 7-up when the power went out (Jacob)
May 25– doing my animal writing (Keaton)
May 26– helping Mrs. Tebay do lunch supervision (Deamera)
Enjoy your weekend. I am hopeful that we get some nice weather next week so that we are able to get outside to practice our events for Track and Field!
I can’t believe how quickly the weeks are passing in 2T. Here are our smiles for this week:
May 15– showing off my Ukrainian dance moves (Matt)
May 16– going to watch the Shrek musical (Deamera)
May 17– the bike rodeo (Adilyn)
May 18– being able to watch Raven Tales (Hayden)
Enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend. See you on Tuesday, May 23rd!
We had a wonderful Field Trip today! The weather could have been a little bit warmer, but we all had so much fun. I am sad to say that I didn’t get any pictures- I was busy having fun too! All of the children were well behaved and polite. Thanks to my parent volunteers Mrs. Knorr, Mrs. Anderson and Mr. Piche.
I think after all the running and playing that we did today, all the students and their teacher will sleep well tonight! 🙂
Here are our smiles for the week:
May 8– making our art project (Jaida H.)
May 9– telling Mrs. T. a funny joke in the library (Carlee)
May 10– I love going to the computer lab (Chiedza)
May 11– listening to the songs of the Wizard of Oz (Eabha)
May 12– going on our Field Trip (Callie)
We have more fun activities planned for next week. On Tuesday afternoon we will be walking over to WCMS to watch their production of Shrek. On Wednesday we are participating in a bike rodeo. There is also no school for students next Friday so we will be having our spelling test on Thursday again. We are moving on from addition to 100 and beginning subtraction to 100. This is usually a little trickier for us. Next week we will be starting new units in Science (Animals) and Health (Body Essentials).
Things are going to be busy with only 29 school days left!
Have a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend, and I hope you love your gift!
Just a friendly reminder 🙂
On Friday, May 12th, our class will be joining two other grade 2 classes for a field trip. We will participate in the Wheels and Runners program at the Western Development Museum in the morning. In the afternoon (weather permitting), we will have fun, playing at Kinsmen Park and then return to school at approximately 3:00. Students need to be at school by 9:00 AM as we will be leaving shortly after 9:00. Students need to bring a bag lunch and water bottle in a backpack. Please do not send any money with your child.
Thank you and we are all looking forward to a fun day.
We are very excited, and the forecast is looking great!
Attention all parents!
Warman Elementary School will be hosting a bike safety rodeo for all grade 1 to 3 students on Wednesday, May 17th. Each class will spend about 30 minutes completing the various stations at the Fire Hall. If possible, please send your child’s bike and his/her helmet along to participate in the activities. A properly fitting helmet must be worn for participation in the riding events. Children that cannot bring a bike will still be able to participate in some of the safety events. As we are anticipating many bikes, they can be secured in the bike racks or along the chain link fence at the school for the day. We are excited for the volunteer participation of the Warman Fire Department who will be organizing this worthwhile event. Our goal is to educate your child on the importance of bike safety, the rules of the road, and wearing a properly fitted helmet.
We are hoping for great weather and will post any last minute changes on our school website.
Our class has been scheduled to attend at 1:15.
Today it certainly feels like summer! Some of the children were complaining that it was “too hot” outside, and it seems like it was just the other day that it was “too cold”. It is shaping up to be a wonderful weekend to get outside and enjoy the sun!
Here are our smiles for the week:
May 1– practicing ball throw in gym (Lincoln)
May 2– playing outside at lunch recess (Porter)
May 3– doing basketball in gym (Jaden)
May 4– working on a surprise for our mom (Jacob)
May 5– painting in art (Adilyn)
Please remember that next Tuesday, May 9th is pizza lunch for those who ordered.
Congratulations to Chiedza and Matt who did an awesome job performing at Fine Arts Night!
We are excited to go on our first Field Trip to the WDM on Friday, May 12! Thanks to Jaida K’s mom, Eabha’s mom and Phoenix’s dad who have volunteered to come with us. I am still missing a few permission forms so please check your child’s planner or email me to see if you have returned yours to school.
Here are some pictures of what we did this week in 2Tebay.
